The 1947 murder of Elizabeth Brief has remained one among Hollywood's most notorious unsolved cases in Los Angeles history. The cold case has become passed down from detective to detective searching answers or any type of clues to aid put the circumstance to rest. Elizabeth or Beth, since known by many people, was born This summer 29, the year of 1924 in Hyde Park, Massachusetts. (Beth Short). Elizabeth was the daughter of Cleo and Phoebe Brief. (Beth Short). In 1929, Beth's daddy Cleo faded, and his truck was discovered near a bridge, convincing people that he had committed committing suicide. (Beth Short). Later, Cleo had delivered a message towards the family, apologizing for deserting them. (Beth Short). Beth's father was living in Vallejo, California. At age nineteen, Beth decided to move around in with her father to be able to pursue her dream of like a famous actress, and celebrity in key motion pictures. (Beth Short). Cleo later demanded that Beth leave following she was arrested to get underage consuming. (Beth Short). For six months, Short stayed in various places through the entire Los Angeles location, but never in one place for more than every week. (TruTv). Six days after, on January 15, 1947, in Leimert Park, Los Angeles, her human body was uncovered. (Exquisite Corpse). A mom pushing her child in a stroller discovered what the girl thought was a broken mannequin. (Exquisite Corpse). When she got better she recognized it was a mutilated body, and called the police office. Short was found sexually posed, on her behalf back with her hands above her head, and her lower limbs spread a part. (TruTv). The mutilated body had been cut at the waist with surgeon-like precision. The autopsy confirmed that the girl had passed away of shock from a concussion and loss of bloodstream. (TruTv). Her mouth was also slashed from ear to headsets, and because of the lack of blood vessels near the criminal offenses scene, it had been clear that Short was nearly used up of her blood and washed clean before the girl was put in the vacant lot. Shortly after her death, the Los Angeles Examiner received a package which has a letter made out of newspaper lettering much like the Zodiac Killer. (TruTv). One notice was named, " Here is Dahlia's Things. вЂќ (TruTv). Inside the package, were her social reliability card, delivery certificate, a telegram, photos, business cards, and claim investigations for the suitcases your woman had left at the shuttle bus depot.
